Super Bowl 44!! pro or anti abortion??? really?

November 29th, 2009

Okay, it is finally here Super Bowl 44 so get out the chips and dip and fire up the fryer for some nice hot wings then sit back and enjoy the game…

But while we are on the subject, just what is all the hoopla about Tim Tebow and his Mom doing a commercial with a positive message???

Is it really anti abortion to tell how Mrs. Tebow made a choice to keep her baby even knowing it would endanger her life to carry the baby to full term? Or is it just a nice story about real choice by a woman that in the face of endangering her own life she chose to give life to her child and it was the right choice??

I mean we hear from all the pro abortionists about it being a right to choose but now that a woman who made that choice is going to tell it on national television to a national audience unencumbered by any political venue all of a sudden making a choice is bad because it wasn’t for abortion. So now it isn’t really about choice but rather about which choice you make and worse yet this is an openly Christian woman making this choice. Oh horror of horrors for the left, that bad Christian is out to get us with her pro family ilk on national television.

CBS has been getting threats from every feminist, pro abortion and leftist group in the country to not run this ad. Mind you there is nothing overtly threatening to abortion or abortion providers in the ad at all. In fact, there is nothing political at all in the ad. It is simply Mrs. Tebow and Tim telling their story about her choice and how it worked out to be a great blessing for them and consequently I believe a credit to society in general.

Now we get to hear all the whining of the left and to date with all the interviews I have watched of pro abortionists I have yet to hear a clear reason as to why this ad should not be allowed by CBS. I have heard mainly the equivalent of, “it isn’t fair” or how it is just an out an out attack on abortion rights and too political. Then I had the “pleasure” of hearing Gloria Allred state that is was illegal at that time in the Philippines to have an abortion for any reason so she had no choice and had to have the baby no matter what she wanted to do. Ahh leave it to the woman that is now battling against a company to not put the face of a porn star mistress of Tiger Woods on a golf ball because it would damage her face and be damaging to all women?? I mean really I saw a clip of her holding a big cardboard golf club and putting the club up to a poster with a golf ball and the woman’s face on it to show that it would hit her face and obviously damage it??? Nutjob?? I am thinking yes… But I digress that is another subject or 5 and for another time.

Back to the Superbowl ad… So I am watching Ms. Allred trying to spin this whole thing back into propaganda for abortion saying Mrs. Tebow had no choice just like at one time woman here had no choice. Then they flash Facebook comments of women saying they don’t want to see that kind of ad and it takes away from the “fun” of the superbowl but would like to see some fun ads.

Okay I get the point, it would be better to see a fun ad like a tampax commercial or maybe something fun like the anti animal cruelty ad with Sarah Mclachlan waling in the background would be more appropriate than a nice pro life message that is uplifting and encouraging? Oh and don’t get me wrong I love animals and the commercial has a good message but it is personally depressing and annoying and the song really does get on my last nerve although Sarah M. is a wonderful singer and artist nothing against her at all.

It just amazes me how sensitive and childish the left is especially when it comes to the right to murder an unborn child. This issue alone is very personal to me and because I have lost a child to abortion I have every right to speak out on the subject. More than most of the leftist feminists that are simply twisted individuals that take women’s rights to a ridiculous extreme to further their own careers and or because they are so empty inside they have nothing else to live for in this world. Too many take their identity from these movements and agendas so they take it personally that anyone disagrees with them plus you have so many that seem to be men hating wounded spirits that thrive off the cause and the camaraderie of  other women.

Personally, I think that it will be nice to see a positive commercial with two real people giving their own life experience as encouragement to others in the world. Maybe I am wrong but we need more positive life giving messages in the media these days. You cannot turn the television on almost any station without seeing and hearing death, blood and guts, cursing and foul language, negative messages, fighting and hatred and of course varying degrees of sexual content and nudity.

So to the left and the pro abortionists I say get a life and get over it.

Rock on Mrs. Tebow and Tim I look forward to seeing your commercial and positive message….
